About us
From our headquarters in Zaandam, we provide patients throughout the Netherlands with access to high-quality generic medicines and medical devices. Our focus is on the patients who use our products, placing them at the centre of everything we do.
Instead of manufacturing medicines in-house, we leverage our international network of trusted partners. We make their generic medicines and medical devices available to the Dutch market.

Introducing Maurits, owner and CEO
Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Maurits followed in the family tradition by studying small business and retail management at university. After graduating, he was recruited as a product manager by his uncle, John van der Sluijs, the founder of Focus Care.
Maurits quickly broadened his remit, becoming involved in IT, logistics, finance, HR and process optimisation. In 2020, he took his next big career step.
Objective
We consider it our job to provide patients in the Netherlands with access to generic medicines and medical devices that are not yet available on the Dutch market.
Generic medicines cost less than brand-name alternatives due to their shorter time to market and play a vital role in our mission to keep healthcare affordable.
Our products
Focus Care supplies a wide range of generic medicines to the Dutch market and is the distributor of the AeroChamber PlusĀ® Flow-VuĀ® anti-static valved holding chamber in the Netherlands. We are also developing a non-pharmacological treatment for restless legs syndrome (RLS) under the trademark RelegsĀ®.
We are committed to product safety and efficacy: all of our medicines comply with the strict requirements of the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board (CBG-MEB).
